Richard Ramirez, known as "The Night Stalker," terrorized California from 1984 to 1985 with a series of brutal, random attacks. His crimes involved murder, assault, and torture, often marked by satanic symbols left at the scene. Born in El Paso, Texas, in 1960, Ramirez's troubled childhood included exposure to violence through an abusive home and a cousin who showed him graphic war photos. Moving to California in his early 20s, he quickly escalated from petty crime to terrifying home invasions.
